Salesian Works in Canada
The Religious men and women are organized into "Provinces". The Salesian Works in Canada exist in two groups. The Province of St. Joseph for the Salesians and the Province of Our-Lady-of-the-Cape for the Salesian Sisters. Each province is made up of a group of communities spread over a specific territory animated by a Provincial Superior. The whole of Canada is a single Province for each group.
The aim of our works is the education of the young. Don Bosco lived a typical pastoral experience in his first Oratory (Youth Center) which was:
a house that welcomes
a parish that evangelizes
a school that prepares for life
a playground to meet friends and to live with joy.
These four dimensions constitute the permanent criteria for Salesian works.

Day Care Centres
The Salesian Sisters are in charge of 4 Day Care Centres in Montreal.
They are non-profit organizations administered by the parents. A few Sisters and several qualified educators take care of children from age 1½ to 5. These acquire learning skills adapted to their age, like learning how to live together. They are treated with love, patience and kindness.
At the end of their stay, this phase of their early life is underlined by a “graduation feast “
